The True Shepherd (Part 2)

Now, let's consider verse 14 and 27. It says "I am the good shepherd; and I know My [sheep,] and am known by My own." And verse 27 says "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me."

Jesus says He knows His sheep. The first question is are you among His sheep? If the answer is yes, does He know you? Do you even believe that there is Jesus? Do you believe that He is the Christ? If you don't believe then, you are not His sheep. Verse 26 states this. I mean, you have to believe in Him if you want to be His sheep.

I also want us to note that His sheep hears His voice. Do you hear God's voice? Most of us pray that God should speak to us and that we want to know/hear His voice and it seems that God doesn't answer. Let me tell you this- God hears and answers everyone's prayer. Also, if you are His sheep, you will hear His voice.

Well, God speaks to all of us, but we don't know that He is the one speaking. It is very bad. We ought to know His voice if truly He is our shepherd.

Now, let's look the promises He has for His sheep in verse 28. He said "And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand."

So, why not become His sheep? Jesus is the only good shepherd. He is the only one that can help you in times of trouble. Any man that claims to be the shepherd before and after Jesus is a thief!

If you have not accepted Him as your Lord and Saviour, this is another opportunity. It's not too late. Accept Him today so that you can be His sheep, hear Him and follow Him.

Thanks for reading. Love you all. Don't forget to share with your friends!
